In the delusion of the day after the umpteenth time; 'Yes Beau, we're going in a minute!', I find myself walking outside. Take a deep breath and look at my beautiful healthy kids with a new look. Who only indicate with their behavior what they need, attention and AIR.
We have been quite sick and are finally allowed to go outside again. Also very important to me, it can be so oppressive to follow the news and worry about your loved ones. And you don't know how long it will all take. But when I walk outside and look at the blue sky and smell the scent of spring again, I also feel an enormous gratitude for everything that is going well.
We arrive at the abandoned school, where my son is busy playing 'ninja go' and above all wants me to look at everything. Yes, really to every little movement, and that a few times in a row.. So I stand rocking with my daughter in the car for a while, looking at him and I hear myself shouting “good hee” and “cool dude”.
Then next to me a boy and girl bounce a ball about it on the ping pong table. They are about 9 or 10 years old and start a conversation with each other. I catch some snatches and marvel..
They talk about dating and kissing each other… and 2 of their friends reacted stupidly. While 1 of those 2 had a relationship with someone who did not suit him at all! The boy thought so too.
And that Coronavirus, that makes the world a little crazy. Because yes, people are robbing the loaves of bread from each other's wagons. And if people have to work and they come in the evening for an errand, there is nothing left for them!? Really stupid.. Think about it.
And the GGD are doing really well. There is a lot of testing. But still needs more. But if just the people who have complaints go to 'karontène' then we can go to school. Because I have to learn, otherwise I might stay put .. said the girl.
I'm close by, but they don't seem to notice. How well children can function in their own experience! After a while I call Beau to move on and give both children a big smile. They look at me in amazement.
