Getting used to our childcare center

Going to daycare for the first time: that is quite exciting — for your child and for you. That is why we take plenty of time for a relaxed settling-in, to get to know each other, and to give you the confidence that your child is in loving and caring hands with us.

In this way, your child gradually becomes familiar with the new environment, the other children, and the people caring for him or her. The exact nature of the settling-in period depends on your wishes and the possibilities of the group.

Initial interview

From the age of 10 weeks, your child can come to the group for a settling-in period. Together with the childcare worker, you determine on which day(s) your child can come for a few hours. This way, your child quickly becomes familiar with the new environment, the new children, and the childcare workers. The exact nature of your child's settling-in period depends on your wishes and the possibilities of the group.

How does it get used to?

Approximately three weeks before the start date, the pedagogical professional of the group will contact you for an introductory meeting. In advance, you will receive a request by email to complete an online introductory form.

During the conversation, you will hear what a day at the daycare looks like — but just as important is what we want to hear from you: how is your child doing, and what is important for us to know? Based on the completed form, we will discuss this together and make arrangements for the settling-in period. There is plenty of room for questions — so feel free to ask them all!
