HipHot came up with this great idea and because this story is so much fun, we want to share it with you: “We started HipHot because we were surprised that sunscreen is not available when you are at school, visiting an amusement park, in the park or sitting on a terrace. And you are often outside when the sun is shining. When we started doing research abroad, we learned that in Australia, for example, it is very common that sunscreen is available for free.
But, is there a demand for it in the Netherlands? There was only one thing to do and that is testing. We have ordered sunscreen dispensers abroad and called a few festivals: can we place our sunscreen dispensers with you for free to test? That was allowed. And we noticed that there is a real demand for it. At the first festival they called us 2 hours after the opening of the festival: “Do you have any more? It is almost finished and our guests are queuing for the lubricator.” Haha, so we had a good sense of that!
That is why we started our mission ourselves: sunscreen everywhere to allow people to enjoy protected enjoyment and to reduce skin cancer.”
