All children should be able to read! A KinderzwerfboekStation was established at SKO de Buren in Oegstgeest on Monday 30 May. A festive opening was held for the children of the BSO with some related activities. All children from Oegstgeest can go here for a wandering book. Kinderzwerfboek encourages reading and tries to set up as many KinderzwerfboekStations as possible, so that all children can read.
“We think it's important that children who want to read books can do so. Hence this cool stray book station. With the help of the Dalton School who cleaned up their library, we have a nice amount of books to start our library with”, said Suzanne den Hollander, Haaswijk daycare manager.
What are stray books?
Children's stray books are books with a stray sticker that wander from child to child. Stray books are passed on, left at schools, in waiting rooms, shops, trains, KinderzwerfboekStations, and so on. However a book may roam, it should never be left in a cupboard read or unread. In recent years, a million wandering books have been sent on an exciting journey. But there could be many more! Send books on an exciting journey. Join Kinderzwerfboek, because all children should be able to read! Dive into your bookcase and send out books from roaming, collect books or start a KinderzwerfboekStation. You can read how you can do this on www.kinderzwerfboek.nl† You can also order the stray stickers there.
