Supervisory Board
In accordance with the Articles of Association, our Supervisory Board supervises the functioning of the Director, the policies pursued, and the general course of business at SKO. In addition, the Board acts as a sounding board and advisor to the Director. The Board consists of four members; the chairman is Alexandra van Leeuwen (remuneration committee). Furthermore, the board consists of Marleen Beumer (audit committee and staff representation), René Koffeman (audit committee) and Miguel Serton (remuneration committee).
Governance
SKO operates the Supervisory Board model, in which the Director also serves as the Executive Director. The members of the Supervisory Board are affiliated with VTO3 (association for supervisors in education and childcare) and the managing director is a member of bdKO (professional association directors of childcare).
SKO endorses the principles of the Childcare Governance Code, which sets out the quality requirements, values, standards, and rules for which we are accountable internally and externally. Governance Code Childcare sets standards for good governance and supervision, transparency, external accountability, and financial control. By committing to these, we demonstrate what SKO stands for and that we wish to be accountable to our environment.
The governance is detailed in the following documents:
